Fairbanks With winter approaching rather quickly, we know it’s only natural for you to start thinking about hibernating for the next several months. However, why would you do such a thing when Fairbanks, Alaska has so much to offer?

Sure our Artic Circle and Northern Lights tours are a couple options that we obviously recommend, but there is also so much more this great city has to offer. Although we urge you to visit this page for more options: http://fairbanksalaska.com/events/, we picked out three events that might just be something you’d like to try over the next few months!

1. The Festival of Trees

Happening November 28 – 30 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), come and join the community in lighting 50 Christmas trees in the Worthington Building. An indoor forest, you’ll be greeted with live music, wreath and bake sale, holiday shopping, and even a visit from Santa. Perfect for all ages, this is a great way to get into the holiday spirit while celebrating community! Your can find more information here.

2. Dralion by Cirque du Solei

Showing from January 8th to the 11th, you won’t want to miss the acrobatic show inspired by the Eastern philosophy of harmony between humans and nature. Sure to be a wonderful show, you can learn more and purchase tickets here.

3. Swing & Ballroom Dance

A weekly event, this is a great date night for those who love to dance. And even more – it’s FREE! Spend the night on the dance floor spinning your partner round and round, while reconnecting and having a blast! Located at the Rock n Rodeo, here is some additional information for you.

None of those events interest you? Make sure you visit FAIRBANKSALASKA.COM for more events and area happenings!
