Vehicle Detailer

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY
Detailer is expected to work on tour vans according to instructions. Detailing of tour vans includes exterior and interior cleaning and engine detailing, using a variety of products and tools. Detailer is expected to work independently and possess attention to detail when performing job functions. Physical work and some outdoors duties are often required (during all seasons). Position additionally requires cleaning duties both inside the office and outdoors. Technician is responsible to assist in maintenance tracking and scheduling of maintenance for all tour vans.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Responsible for tour van interior and exterior detailing
Check fluid levels before and after vehicle use
Check tire pressure
Update fleet tracking spreadsheet and status boards
Track usage of van supplies
Maintain inventory of all van supplies
Must be able to lift 75lbs or more
Basic understanding of general tools and how to use them
Load wood into wood burning furnace (winter only)
Weekly outdoor cleaning responsibilities (winter/summer)
Weekly outdoors grounds maintenance (winter/summer)
Keep reception area (Front Foyer) clean
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
Office and maintenance bay trash
Clean bathrooms
Other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS
Indoor and outdoor work required, year round.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, SKILLS FOR SUCCESS
1+ year experience working with vehicle maintenance and detail
Highly experienced in cleaning of vehicles by hand
Able to determine requirements for windshield fluid, gas, oil, water, brake fluid and antifreeze
Profound ability to diagnose/maintain vehicle’s engine in terms of checking fluids and
ensuring proper and safe operations
Well versed in basic vehicle problems and their resolutions
Valid driver’s license with sound knowledge of driving practices and rules
Basic computer knowledge
Acute attention to detail
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent
21 years +
